About ISEE

Established in 2009, the Iran Society of Engineering Education (ISEE) promotes research in engineering education; collaborates with relevant research institutions and executive branches responsible for accreditation of engineering programs; awards prizes and scholarships to research collaborators; provides education research and technical services to promote the engineering profession and promotes the publication of scientific papers, reports and books on engineering education.

About the Representative

Ali Ashrafizadeh

Ali Ashrafizadeh received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from University of Waterloo (UW) in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in 2000. He received his BS and MS degrees in Mechanical (thermo-fluid) Engineering at Sharif University of Technology and Tarbiat Modares University respectively, both in Tehran, Iran.

Dr. Ashrafizadeh has been involved in education and teaching from the time he was an undergraduate student at Sharif University of Technology. He started his career in engineering education at K. N. Toosi University of Technology (KNTU) as an instructor in 1991. His field of interest is numerical simulation of thermo-fluid phenomena. In addition to teaching experiences at both KNTU and UW, he has also been involved in many industrial projects. Dr. Ashrafizadeh has a wide range of administrative experiences at KNTU, all relevant to education, including the head of thermo-fluid group, the Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Director of Graduate Studies. He has also been in charge of the heat transfer lab and the founder of a research lab at KNTU. He is currently a professor at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of KNTU.

Presently, Dr. Ashrafizadeh is the Vice President in Academic Affairs of K. N. Toosi University of Technology. He is also the Chair of the International Committee of the Iran Society of Engineering Education (ISEE).
