About ASIBEI

ASIBEI was formally established 16 years ago with the purpose of promoting the cooperation and exchange between institutions of higher learning in engineering education in all countries of Latin America. Stimulate research and knowledge generation related to engineering education. And promoting excellence in teaching institutions, research and links with the productive sector. ASIBEI is an “association of associations” of member countries the Countries without an Engineering Faculties association are represented by owns universities.

About the Representative

Luis Alberto González Araujo | Secretario ejecutivo Asociación Iberoamericana de Instituciones de Enseñanza de la Ingeniería

Civil Engineer with postgraduate studies in Design, Construction and Conservation of Roads from the Julio Garavito School of Engineering in Bogotá (Colombia). He is currently Executive Director of the Colombian Association of Faculties of Engineering -ACOFI-, an entity to which he has been linked for eleven years, where he has coordinated several of his academic projects, in which participation in tests Colombian state engineering companies, Saber Pro, since 2003; the contributions in the construction of guidelines for high-quality accreditation of engineering programs in Colombia; validation analysis of engineering degrees studied abroad, among others.
