Introduction to the Health Impacts from Climate Change

Dr. Heidi Honegger Rogers is honored to join the Peace Engineering ECHO community to present how climate change impacts the health of individuals, families and communities. Dr. Rogers will integrate the concepts of environmental, human and planetary health to share how our health and well-being is interconnected with our natural and built environments. She will give an overview of the environmental impacts of climate change and introduce the health impacts that we are currently seeing and can expect in the future.

Dr. Rogers will focus on presenting problem sets in the areas of mitigation and adaptation to improve the climate change related human health outcomes going forward. She hopes that this work will help to support ongoing innovation, research, community engagement and community lead policy and program implementation toward justice and equity for our local, national and global communities.
