Extreme Low-Cost Design to Prototype through ChipIgnite

The webinar will describe the chipIgnite program and its value proposition to integrate fabrication into course work and to advance university research programs.

The chipIgnite program is a low-cost manufacturing including a full reference design for a carrier-chip that hosts the users design as well as a development board and firmware stack to simplify design validation and test. The program also includes an automated open source design flow for implementing projects that enables users to generate layouts for their digital projects from RTL.  Designers can also use commercial EDA tools to complete their projects.

This webinar will also showcase representative projects built on chipIgnite and the Efabless Open MPW Program (sponsored by Google) for open source designs.
